Environment: Agency
Project type: Global platform
Responsibilities: Lead Experience Architect
Project Objective: Working on a project called Helios for the Nissan & Renault Alliance. Leading teams, both in London and offshore, for all three brands in tandem. The areas of the Helios platform I worked on included; the new configurator, an inventory system for selling new car stock and used cars from dealers as well as integrated dealer sites.
My key project tasks:
- Creating one of the first fully responsive car configurators for three brands and the Helios platform
- A leading roll in understanding the manufacturing data that powers the configurator and car specification data for the platform
- Creating a non-linear experience for the configurator that allows more freedom for users and a better way for the platform to up-sell better equipment and specs
- Taking complex and differing requirements from multiple brands and markets to create a single, but flexible, inventory solution to sell existing stock and used vehicles
- Working with, and progressing, the documentation and working processes within the solution defining and production areas across the whole project
- Entrusted with turning around the performance of the stream creating integrated dealer websites. Pushing back on new requirements and improving communication and working practice of the scrum team
- Working closely with product owners to turn complex requirements into real world solutions and products leading to me become a reliable and trusted contact point
- Helping develop and work with junior members of the team, including leading mixed teams of UX and designers, ensuring a high quality of work in a demanding environment
- Collaborating with other leads on the project to share knowledge and process across work streams. To encourage consistency and better working practices
